I've not done this work personally, but I wonder if Brandy Benedict's free book on Apple Books, Pretty Math, might be helpful to your team in this transition?

This books looks great. Thank you. I'd love to give our teachers a solution to at least bring their current documents over to the iSuite then be able to edit instead of starting over.

This article seems like it might be helpful: https://docs.wiris.com/mathtype/en/mathtype-office-tools/support/mathtype-support-notices/support-notices/transferring-documents-between-windows-and-macos.html
It appears there's a way to convert the format of equations when moving from Word to any application on a Mac. I may be reading the article incorrectly, but hopefully this provides a solution for your teachers.

Some of my teachers have used MathType on Word documents. With our transition to the Mac they are losing some of their documents since the MathType formulas will not transfer over. Has anyone transitioned MathType formulas from Word to any application on the Mac?
