Diving into Derivatives: Student Explorations in Calculus

As a Mathematics & Physics educator, I have always been driven to help learners engage and connect with challenging concepts by infusing creativity into the learning process. Inspired by Apple’s Everyone Can Create Guides, I aim to contribute to this transformative approach with my One Best Thing project. For this project, I’ve curated a collection of learning activities that harness the duo of technology and creativity to inspire meaningful and engaging learning experiences. It is my hope that this will serve as a helpful resource for educators seeking innovative ways to deepen engagement and understanding in higher-level mathematics and its practical applications.

Below are a few sample screenshots from the book. The full resource can be found on the Apple Books Store here: https://books.apple.com/us/book/diving-into-derivatives-student-explorations-in-calculus/id6473466388

I would love to learn about the innovative ways your students are bringing concepts to life and applying them in real-world scenarios! Please feel free to share in the comments! Thank you!

Great book! It's simple, visual and I'm sure it's going to help a lot of teachers.

Thanks for the sharing!

This looks great. I would suggest posting this in the "Mathematics" area rather than "Teaching and Learning" to get more views and responses from math educators.
