Mathematical formulas can be easily memorized, but just as quickly forgotten. Watch how Thomas reinforced his students’ newfound knowledge in geometry by having them create their own instructional videos.
Thomas first asked students to draw a parallelogram in Keynote with measurements. Learn how to draw simple shapes in Chapter 7 of the Everyone Can Create Drawing guide.
Next, he taught them how to calculate its perimeter, which students repeated on their own, demonstrating how they did it with the screen recording function.
Then he taught students to calculate the area of the the parallelogram, before letting them demonstrate their learning through the screen recording function again.

Finally, he instructed them create their own video tutorial about calculating the perimeter and area of a parallelogram using Clips. Learn how in Chapter 4 of the Everyone Can Create Video guide.
The best way for a student to learn is to become the teacher. By getting them to create instructional videos, we can assess their understanding and make timely corrections if required.
