iMovie gives you multiple ways to share your video projects with others. You can show a finished movie on a big screen, post it to a school website, or send it as an attachment in an email or text message.

Present movies in full‑screen view. In the timeline, position the playhead where you want to begin playback, then click Play Full Screen . Press the Esc key to leave full‑screen view.
Export a movie. In Projects view, select a project, click Share , then click Export File.
In the Export dialog that appears, name the movie file, edit the description, and choose format, resolution, and quality settings. Then click Next to save the movie anywhere on your Mac.
Export a single frame as an image. Skim to the exact frame you want to export and click to position the playhead there. Click Share , then click Save Current Frame. Name and save the image, which will be saved in JPEG format.
Record and archive class lessons for review and reflection. Post instructional videos to a class blog or personal professional library.
Quickly share videos with colleagues, parents, and students. During meetings, share movies to nearby devices using AirDrop.
To do more precise video editing, you can send your iMovie project directly to Final Cut Pro if it’s installed on your Mac. Your project and all media used in it are copied to the Final Cut Pro library. Use Final Cut Pro to add more effects and make more advanced audio and video edits.
