A picture’s worth a thousand words. Bring a story, presentation, or report to life with photos and emoji overlays.
Get started: Open Freeform and tap Compose 
to start a new board. Tap the Text Box button 
to add as an overlay. Next, tap the Emoji button 
on the keyboard. Then fill the text boxes with different emoji to tell your story.
Design the night sky of your dreams, show cause and effect, or retell an event using the drawing tools in Keynote.
Get started: Open the template. Tap Media 
, then tap Drawing. Using the Eraser, remove the black overlay to reveal your constellation. When you’re finished, tap Play 
and watch your constellation move.
Create a customized kaleidoscope and explore acceleration and rotation of shapes using Photo Booth and Keynote.
Get started: Open Photo Booth and take a picture using the Kaleidoscope filter. Next, open the template, tap the plus sign 
, and add your image to the media placeholder. Tap Play and watch your kaleidoscope rotate. Export your creation as a movie or GIF and share it.
Photograph the movement of a subject that rotates, spins, swings, or shows any other continuous action.
Get started: Open Camera with Live Photo 
turned on and tap the shutter button. Tap the thumbnail to open your photo. Then tap the Live Photo menu 
to show the options. Choose Loop 
to make the action repeat.
Use Keynote to make stained glass masterpieces. Add shapes and lines to create symmetry and balance, or random shapes to create a modern piece of art.
Get started: Open the template, tap Shapes 
in the toolbar, and choose a shape. To remove the fill, select the shape and tap Format 
. Tap Style, tap Fill, then tap Preset and swipe left to select No Fill.
Make an animated GIF with photos to show what you love.
Get started: Photograph people, places, or things that are meaningful to you. Using the template, tap the plus sign to insert a photo inside of the heart shape on each slide. Then export your project as an animated GIF.
Write compound words, phrases, expressions, or jokes using only emoji or shapes in Freeform.
Get started: Open Freeform and tap Compose to start a new board. Tap the Text Box button . Next, tap the Emoji button on the keyboard, then tap an emoji to add it to your text box.
Make custom photo stickers to use in a surreal photo collage. Or use them as visuals in a report or presentation, or to illustrate a story.
Get started: Use Camera to photograph people or objects. In Photos, touch and hold your subject and release. Tap Add Sticker. In Photos, tap Edit and Markup 
to layer your stickers on other photos or try sticking them on a background image from the downloadable template.
Use Live Loops to remix a song like a DJ or electronic music producer. Create soundtracks for movies or podcasts, custom timers, and more.
Get started: Choose a Live Loops template in GarageBand. Start your performance by tapping individual cells or triggers 
below a column, and experiment until you have the right sound.
With Magnifier, turn your iPad into a magnifying glass to detect and zoom in on objects near you.
Get started: Using Magnifier, slide close up to your subject and take a photo. Tap the Share button 
and tap Save Image to add it to your photo library. Then annotate and label all the up-close details using Markup.
Transform your photos into something entirely new, share a fresh perspective with the world, or add useful annotations to make them even more meaningful.
Get started: Take a photo of a person, place, or thing. Tap Edit and Markup . Then use your imagination to draw on your photo to tell a story. Turn an inanimate object into a character, modify a scene, or decorate, dress up, and change a portrait.
Practice language skills using Clips, and watch phrases and words appear in Live Titles.
Get started: Open Clips and tap Effects 
, then tap Live Titles 
and choose a title style. Tap the Globe icon 
to select another language you know or are learning. Tap outside of the menu to close it, then tap Close 
. Record yourself speaking in the new language while Live Titles appear. Add a personal touch using stickers or emoji.
Use GarageBand to record positive statements that resonate with your heart and mind.
Get started: Open the template and think about an uplifting statement, word, or phrase. Tap the empty cell next to the microphone icon, then choose Record from the menu. Tap Record 
and say your word or phrase. Tap Record again to end your recording. Tap the Grid button 
to return to the Live Loops grid.
Get creative outside by making a pattern with elements of nature.
Get started: Open Camera and choose video, then select Time‐Lapse mode. Set up and stabilize your iPad with a top‐down view using a tripod or an iPad stand. You can also lay your iPad on an elevated flat surface, like a chair, with the camera positioned over your subject. Capture your process in a video by tapping the Record button to start recording, and tap it again to stop recording. Or simply photograph your pattern when you're finished.
Share how you’re feeling with a customized Memoji that reflects your emotions.
Get started: Open Freeform and tap Compose to start a new board. Tap the Media button 
, then tap Stickers 
. Tap the Memoji tab 
, then tap More 
. Create your Memoji, then duplicate and edit the colour or expression to match how you feel. When you’re finished, add each Memoji to your board.
