Choose from a variety of data formats and visual styles to present information clearly and beautifully. Formatting and creative styling make spreadsheets more engaging and easier to understand.
Change how a table looks. Click anywhere in the table to select it, then click Format to open the Format sidebar. Click the Table tab, then choose a table style or edit the settings to create your own.
Add more information to the table. Enter a list of items in the first column and add prices in the second column.
Format data. Select the price column by clicking the letter in the column header. In the Format sidebar, click the Cell tab, then choose Currency from the Data Format drop‑down menu.
Alphabetize the table data. Move the pointer over the letter at the top of the item column. Click the arrow that appears and choose Sort Ascending to rearrange the table items in alphabetical order.
Track your club or team’s budget. Create columns for date, currency, and text notes to help you track income and spending over the course of the year.
Organize notes for a book your class is reading. Create a table to log the chapter and page number for each note, and you can sort them by either.
You can change the appearance of a cell or its text when the value meets a certain criteria. In a class grade tracker, you can highlight the names of students whose average grades fall below a certain score.
