Matthew encouraged students to create a short video tutorial to demonstrate their knowledge of first aid in a specific accident scenario. Students used Pages and Apple Pencil to storyboard the scenario, Camera to record themselves acting out each scene, and iMovie to edit the video.
First, Matthew assigned each student to a group and gave them a specific injury scenario to respond to.
Students worked together to think about their scenario and plan their first aid response. They used Pages and Apple Pencil to draw a storyboard for the video and annotate each scene.

They then acted out each scene, using the Camera app to record film and audio before editing their video in iMovie.
Typically, first aid lessons involve explaining a scenario to students and verbally questioning how they would handle it. The iPad transforms this learning experience — students can be creative and collaborative while planning and producing their film.
