Total solar eclipse in 2024

Question:

A total solar eclipse will be visible on April 8th 2024. How do you plan to enjoy this rare event that last happen above Montreal (and maybe your town) since 1932!

Plan to get your protective glasses in advance.

We have a teacher institute day, no students in attendance that day. SOOOO I plan to have staff pop outside to see if we can use the solar viewer glasses to catch a peek!

There must be eclipse viewers out there! If you're lucky enough to be in the band of total visibility imagine what a classroom of iPads can record. It's so much more than the changing shadow. How do the shadows under trees change, or perhaps use a simple pegboard for some great pinhole views. How does the sound of crickets and birds change as the sun dips into total. A team of students each with their own view or sound to record would provide a wonderful collection. Above all, relax and enjoy. You'll have many stories to share.
