Turn off 2-Step Verification for Managed Apple IDs

Good morning,

Teachers aren't allowed their mobile phones in the classroom at our school, so occasionally if a teacher needs to access their iCloud account in a lesson, it can be impossible, since 2SV is usually required. Is there a way to have a code emailed rather than texted? Or an alternative. If not, could I request this as a feature please?

2FA is required for the higher level accounts such as teachers and as far as I know cannot be disabled.

An alternative you may want to consider instead of using 2FA with a Managed Apple Account is Federated Authentication. Using an identity provider for authentication enables the option to configure the sign-in experience so that a phone number is not requirement.
