Using Room Visualization Tools in Design and Planning Projects

In design-related classes and project-based learning, students often struggle to visualize space using only sketches or floor plans.

I recently explored RoomDesign, an online tool that allows students to upload room photos and experiment with different interior styles and layouts. It helps them see how design choices affect space, lighting, and overall atmosphere without requiring professional design software.

I’ve found this especially helpful for interior design basics, architecture introductions, and even cross-disciplinary projects where students need to explain spatial ideas visually. It encourages experimentation while keeping the focus on learning rather than technical complexity.

I’d love to hear how others are helping students visualize space and design concepts in their classrooms.
