This is fantastic, Jodie! 🤩
And, wonderfully scaffolded using Numbers!

Leah LaCrosse and I developed this investigation that includes a citizen science collaborative effort to compare bugs in various areas of the world.
We used cicadas but any bug could be used for this. It was a really fun way to take kids outdoors, refresh their memory on how to measure, and talk about qualitative vs quantitative data.

My 7th grade scientists completed this investigation this past week. It's a great way to introduce observations, different types of data, refresh on measurement, and expanding photography skills. We also had several great questions regarding cicadas and their life cycle as well as discussing the importance of bugs in our environment. Highly recommend trying this one! Thanks Jodie & Leah!
