Interactive digital books for iPad (free)

You can download a range of free digital, multitouch books produced in-house by our teachers and our Digital Developer at The de Ferrers Academy. All these books have been made available (free) in 51 countries, for any staff/students to download and use.

These books are mostly targeting key areas of misconceptions in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science and History, using animation, video and interactive quizzes to support students in understanding concepts and ideas. They are ideal for reading on iPad and can be easily downloaded directly from Books or shared via a suitable MDM/online platforms.

We also have a number of books produced as part of an innovative project with PGCE students from The University of Nottingham. Almost 100 Initial Teacher Trainee students spent a week at de Ferrers in Summer 2016-2029 learning how to create digital books and instructional video on Mac and iPad, with tutoring from University lecturers, digital authors and Apple Distinguished Educators. The project was a finalist for the TES Digital Innovation Awards in 2017.

All these books have been made available (free) in 51 countries, for any staff/students to download and use.

Brilliant effort... thank you very much. I want to take this even further and begin to meld curriculum from each grade level... into the next grade level... so that when I get these students at the university... they already know all of the mechanics and can begin to produce high-quality eBooks.
