Swift Playgrounds on iPad - Make Your Own Puzzle World Resources

I crafted this task aiming to consolidate the learning from the lessons that my students had completed in the Learn to Code 1 and 2 playgrounds. I also wanted my year 7 (11-12 years old) students to have an opportunity be creative with their code and build something from scratch.

The attached numbers scaffold aims to help my students organise their ideas on the 'Prepare' page where they are asked to complete a design of their intended puzzle using the 10x10 table and add an audio explanation of their work.

Once their design is complete, students are asked to download the 'Puzzle World' blank template from Swift Playgrounds app (Available under 'Books' in 'More Playgrounds' and start crafting their Puzzle Worlds using their designs as a guide.

When they have completed a draft of their Puzzle World, I've asked my Students to refine their creation through the peer and self evaluation page of the Scaffold.

Based on the evaluation responses they have, students are expected to refine their work prior to sharing their Puzzleworld with the rest of the class.

To try out my scaffold with your class, please download a copy from this post. I hope you like it! and please feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback.

Also attached is a little 'cheat sheet' I provide to some of my students when are coding their puzzle world.

I love this Numbers template! What a great resource to scaffold students' work and support peer feedback through the coding process. Thanks for sharing!

This is amazing! I need to spend more time on the coding and look for opportunities across the curriculum.
