Weather Tracking Recording Page

Third graders in my district are about to dive into a unit on weather. Students are asked to track the weather (precipitation, wind, & temperature) for five days. Then for their final assessment students are supposed to pretend to be a news anchor and give a weather forecast explaining the day to day weather conditions. Students have a list of requirements. They must include in their video such as the weather report, what items/clothing you might need in relation to the weather, and how weather can be different in multiple locations.

Students will use this Keynote weather tracker to track the data they collect. They will use text & Keynote shapes to complete the template. Once it is complete, students will save as an image and use as their background for their weather forecast video. Students will write a script and then video their forecast presentation in front of a green screen. Afterwards, students will use iMovie to create a special effects video using their video recording & the Keynote weather tracker.

Students can add sound effects, music, transitions, etc to enhance their video.

Attached you will find the Keynote template. Adjust as needed!
