What If You Had Animal Features - Keynote

As a librarian, I do a lot of lessons that involve children's literature. We read a picture book and then do a fun activity that relates to the book.

For this lesson, I read these books by Sandra Markle:

Then students use Keynote to add animal features to themselves like this:

Lesson Steps:

1) Read the books listed above by Sandra Markle.

2) Download the attached Keynote and share with students.

3) Students can add their photo to the document, remove the background, and add animal features to themselves.

I love this! So fun and creative - and kicked off by promoting literature and reading.

Students love these books! This extension activity encourages students to explore the topic from their own point of view and have fun too. I'm sure they love sharing!

Loved this activity! I was inspired to deepen the creative side with drawing in Keynote. I also did some app smashing with Keynote and CLIPs.
