Digital Communication Course
In 2022, Mother Teresa Catholic College in Perth, WA launched its new Digital Communication course for Year 7. The course is designed to teach students how iPad can be used to communicate learning in innovative ways.

Throughout the year, students will learn how to create professional videos, design multimedia publications, produce animations and use data to visualise information. Students will carry these skills into their curriculum and Challenge Based Learning classes to help them showcase learning. The course includes four main projects each with a focus on serving others in the college community:
Project 1: Create a printed brochure for new students to be displayed in the College reception.
Project 2: Create a silent movie in Clips giving advice to Year 6 students transitioning into Year 7 next year.
Project 3: Create a digital information kiosk in Keynote to communicate information about MTCC.
Project 4: Create an infographic with real data on the MTCC canteen menu.
Year 7 Learning Journey
As an aspiring Apple Distinguished School dedicated to a school-owned, 1:1 iPad program from K-12, it is essential for students to know how iPad can be used meaningfully for educational and creative purposes. In 2023, the college will expand its Digital Communication course into Year 8 and make integration across the curriculum a focus point for all its assessment projects.
