Procedure Template
After seeing various templates on Twitter, I developed a procedure pages template. My students were a particularly weak cohort and struggled with structuring text types. I created a procedure template to ensure that all my students could structure and include all steps of a procedure. As part of our HASS unit, students had been learning about north and South America. To conclude this unit, we planned to make nachos. Before making nachos, students typed our their procedure/recipe in the Pages Template they would use to make nachos. Students then began making nachos, whilst they were following the procedure, their partner would film each step. Once students had finished cooking their nachos, they edited and inserted the footage in to iMovie or clips. They added stickers, titles and various other features to enhance each of their steps. By providing students with this scaffold, all students were able to create an interactive ebook presentation with each step and clip.
