Celebrating Latine / Hispanic Heritage Month

Question:

I think celebrating and recognizing heritage months is so important in the teaching of history/social studies and inclusion of all students. Learning will engage if students become active learners in these celebrations.  What kinds of videos, interviews, poetry, Keynote or podcast projects might you have your students create?  Let’s share ideas here.

From the U.S. National Hispanic Heritage site:

September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic American Heritage Month

The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.
