Any folks actively using LIDAR iPads in the classroom?

Question:

I'm thinking about getting some iPad Airs to share in a science classroom, but I'm divided on whether or not I'd be losing out by not getting LiDAR. I've only used it myself for trying out the 3d scanner a few times.

I've not been able to find much evidence of LiDAR being used in any classes so hoping someone can chime in here.

If you're using augmented reality in your classroom on a regular basis, the LiDAR on iPad Pro seems like it would be useful, but after doing some reading, I think you could probably accomplish all your instructional goals with the iPad Airs you're considering, too.

The accuracy of the Measure app and other features does seem to be improved with LiDAR, so I think it would really depend on how you want students to use the device in labs, etc. in your classroom.
