3DBear allows students to easily combine shapes, characters, and other 3D models to tell an original story in their own surroundings. The app includes tutorials, lesson plans, and challenges to support bringing context and design thinking into any learning environment.
Open a lesson plan. Scroll to browse the available lesson plans, challenges, and tutorials. Tap the Creative Storytelling lesson plan.
Tap Create Create button to start the AR mode.
Choose a model. Swipe left or right in the browser to navigate through model collections, such as Basic Forms, Animals, or Learning Space. Scroll to view all objects in each collection. Tap a model, and tap Select button.
Position the model. Drag the arrows above the model to set its distance from the surface, then pinch in or out to change its size.
Rotate the character. Tap Rotate button, and swipe left or right on the character. Tap Undo button to revert a change, and tap Rotate button again to finish.
Take a photo or video. To frame a shot, tap Shutter button, then tap Close button to return to AR mode. To capture video, touch and hold Shutter button, then let go to stop recording.
Share your design. To share a photo, tap Share button, then choose a sharing option. To share a video, tap Gallery button, select the video, then tap Share button.
Adapt a story in AR. Place objects as furniture and props in a physical space to transform it into the setting for a scene or short story, then place students and 3D characters to perform the scene.
Present a lesson as a story. Use 3D models in physical space to personify inanimate objects and abstract concepts. Capture video, then edit it in Clips or iMovie.
