ABC Book

Learning letters and sounds in Kindergarten is one of the first skills to help building knowledge of reading and writing. I created a template in Pages for students to practice writing their letters and then on the next page they can write the letter, record the sound, and take a picture of something that begins with that letter sound.  Students are able to work on this independently during literacy stations or right along with the teacher as she introduces the letters each week.

Place holder for image, circle for voice recording, and oval for writing of the letter.

Students could later use this same book template and make a book of numbers, words, or even word families.

Great idea. Perhaps they could even add audio to each page?
