30 Days of Drawing and Doodling

When we play, no matter our age, we engage our imaginations, build creative confidence, and increase the neural connections in our brains. Moreover, play can reduce stress, ease anxiety, and boost joy and self-esteem. It can build literacy skills through communication, listening, and exploration of narrative structures. And play enhances curiosity, deepens critical thinking, and nurtures adaptive pathways, all of which can contribute to a successful future.

Research in neuroscience and psychology has discovered that drawing and doodling improves memory and concentration, and a daily doodle can spark creativity.  Furthermore, drawing or doodling can help focus your thinking, engage your subconscious, and lower stress.

30 Days of Drawing and Doodling is designed for creative play using Apple Keynote's drawing features. From creating customized color palettes to a variety of drawing tools, Keynote is a perfect drawing playground. Each slide contains a prompt to ignite thinking.

Love this. I think doodling as so much potential. I did do some research into handwriting and digital inking and the memory process involved.

Thanks for sharing!

LOVE this template, Susan! Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking this might be my own person January creativity challenge :)

Yet another incredible resource from you Susan! Love this so much. Am a HUGE advocate for play for every single age group, all the way through to adults. When teaching early childhood, we called it our VIP time - Very Important Play - and this has continued on into when workshops as I now work with adults. Doodling and drawing is the perfect playful (and mindful) activity 🙌🏻. I can just imagine these doodles animated with a line drawing animation and then exported into clips to add music - what an amazing and mindful practice it would be to watch the creations unfold after the journal was complete 🫶🏻
