Digital Genre Book Tasting

As a campus librarian, I enjoyed hosting a book tasting each year in my library. When students participate in the book tasting I liked to have students make notes or take record of which books they wanted to check out later.

In the attached Numbers file, students can add a picture, record a summary, and circle a thumbs up or thumbs down emoji to decide if it is a genre they enjoyed. This genre book tasting has six genres, but the tabs can be easily replicated if you wanted to add a new genre.

I specifically used this with fourth grade but I believe this could easily be used with 2nd grade and up.

I love the concept and title Book Tasting! Wonderful way to engage students in reading and grow literacy. Super use of Numbers!

Love this template! One of my colleagues facilitates "book tastings" every semester; I'm excited to share this resource with her!
