Create a post from the types below.
I used Numbers to create a place for students to take notes about musical notes and vocabulary. We watched videos of a teacher teaching about the notes and labeled as we watched and clapped along with the teacher.
We discussed how the notes are related to fraction (whole note = 4 beats, then half notes are 2 parts of the whole note and equals 2, etc.).
Then students wrote their own songs using notes on a scale. (We did not focus on where the notes were put on the scale, the idea is for students to compose a song with notes and counting beats). Then we used GarageBand to record our song. Students choose an instrument working on holding notes for certain amount of beats.
