Celebrations-Diwali
Some of our Junior classes have been learning about Celebrations this Term. Our current focus is the Hindu celebration Diwali, The Festival of Lights.
We have done two different digital learning experiences. The first was making Mandala art on Tayasui Sketches School, using the Symmetry component. Our students really enjoyed exploring this feature and making their colourful Mandala designs.
The second was using Keynote animations for the candles lit for Diwali and making 'Hologram like' projectors. The templates and scientific explanation around the reflection of light can be found at: Science Learning Hub or sciencelearn.org.nz.
I have attached the Keynote candle template animation one of our older students made with our Junior classes.
