Developing Early Literacy Skills: Meaningful Practices With the iPad

As educators of young children, we are often "cooking from scratch" and this presents difficulties in a microwave world. We easily provide manipulatives in mathematics to help children move from the abstract to the concrete but we might not use them as much in teaching phonics. I wrote this resource sharing how we use the iPad in simple and practical ways to support teaching and learning in early literacy. You can download the book from Apple Books here: https://books.apple.com/us/book/developing-early-literacy-skills/id6455731346

I hope it's useful to you.

What a great resource, Kristi! 👏

Thanks for sharing it!

And, I know I’ll be thinking about that phrase “cooking from scratch ... in a microwave world” for a while… 🤔

Thank you!
