What a fun way for students to investigate text features! I especially love that you are giving your students choice by allowing them to type their explanation or use a voice recording. Way to go!

Text Features Scavenger Hunt
This activity is a Numbers document with various text features. In each tab there is a brief description of the text feature and instructions. To begin, students will have multiple informational texts at their table and will hunt for text features with their group. In the document, students add an image example of the text feature and explain the purpose by either typing or voice recording their response. This really engaged students and I was able to see their work in real time.
