Monthly Art Challenges (Part VII: Artists Surpassing Challenges)

ADE Institute continued to exceed expectations, creating connection with other art educators. As a result we teamed up in a collaboration for our One Best Thing. We are creating monthly artists introductions with a creative challenge. These are formatted to include biographies, a challenge, and connections to other subjects and or extensions. These pages will be created around common themes we tap into in schools to raise awareness, both social and cultural, ie. Hispanic Heritage, Indigenous Peoples, Poverty Awareness. In the end we will produce a Pages book collecting each of the monthly resources.

I hope this inspires all educators to bring creativity to their classrooms.

Attached is the seventh installment: Artists Surpassing Challenges: Feminist Artists.

Wonderful way to celebrate Woman’s History Month. I really like that you add student activity challenges to each of your month’s artist reviews. It makes the information about the chosen artists more meaningful and interactive. Learners aren’t just reading about the artist, they are actively participating in art.

I’m looking forward to the book at the end!
