Choose your own adventure Oregan Trail
My iTeam teammate and I had the opportunity to go through a coaching cycle and co-teach with 4 teachers in our district. We had fun creating a Choose your own adventure for the Oregan trail.
The teachers had students create a script for the content and we provided support and leadership to teach how to link from one page to the other in Keynote. We gathered all 3 classes and taught step by step how to link and customize each page. After several pages teaching step by step and students starting to fidget while waiting, we started to speed up the tutorial. We reflected and realized that we could have taught a few pages and let them go. In the future, our plan will be to give a few tips and tricks at the beginning and allow students to create. This will allow students to collaborate and problem solve while teaching each other.
