Using Keynote and 3D Objects to Explore 3D Shapes and Nets
Keynote allows for 3D objects to be added to presentations. Using this and the Animation feature in Keynote students can explore 3D shapes and then visualize their nets. The animations were made using shapes and Magic Move. At the end of the presentation are several slides where students will solve for either total or lateral surface area. Two slides are blank for students to create their problems and then demonstrate how to solve them, or teachers can create two additional problems.
