Student Apple Badges

I gained so much from working through the Teacher Apple Badges, so thought a student version would be a great way to get my students more familiar with using the apps on their ipad.

Here is pdf of the resource I made in pages for my students to work through. We do 1 or 2 badges a term. I am hoping to create digital badges that appear on their email signature, like we get given when we achieve our Teacher Apple Qualification.

I have used native NZ birds for our badges, but you could use anything, I saw a teacher who had created something similar for their primary school class using a digital backpack and stickers for the students to show their achievement of each badge.

Very creative way to encourage learners to accomplish skills. Love the birds and the associated skills. Also a great way to learn about the NZ bird population - Nice idea!

This is such a great idea.

I am curious, what age group of students do you use this with?

as Cheryl said, this is such a great and fun way for students to learn the tech skills you are targeting, but also learning about the birds of NZ. And I like that you pace this over the term, not all at once.

I am using these with year 10 students, but could be any year level really. The younger students may just need more time and guidance, whereas my year 10 students have been able to do this pretty much on their own.
