There are many ways we can create quizzes to test ourselves. There is no shortage of platforms and tools that allow us to do this. It got me thinking if I could get different student groups to create decks of questions and answers like flashcards that would be a great way to have them think about their learning while having sets of flashcards to test each other.
Preparation and Flow
Decide on the subject and topics. In this instance, its could be to extend the realm of understand then world in geography and extend it further into astronomy.
Split the sub-topics up. For instance, one group will work on wider questions on the solar system. Another could deal with only earth related questions etc.
Using Outlines, students can quickly create single question and answer slides without being distracted by the aesthetics.
When collated, this becomes a repository of quick flashcards for revision or just having fun at the end of a lesson. We could do a class challenge at the end and see who picks up the most points.
Possible Extension
Flashcards are not limited to subjects or even academic fields. We could also load this all up on other platforms that could do the scoring etc.
