Mind Mapping Through Freeform

Our Grade 2 learners used Freeform on iPad to explore the positive and negative impacts of lifestyle choices on human body systems.

Through mind maps and connectors, they visually organized their thinking and made connections between habits and health. Learners expressed their reflections with emojis related to the content, adding a layer of creativity and personalization.

They then amplified their voice by creating a reflection video, demonstrating their understanding in a multi-modal way.

This experience highlighted how Freeform nurtures student agency, visible thinking, and creative expression, while empowering learners to communicate complex ideas through student voice and choice.

What an inspiring way to help 2nd graders make their thinking visible! I love how you used Freeform to connect health concepts with creativity and reflection. The combination of mind maps, emojis, and reflection videos beautifully shows how technology can deepen understanding, amplify student voice, and celebrate individuality.
