I was looking for a way to support my primary teachers with using their iPads to support literacy and create independence and accountability while teachers pull small groups to reteach concepts. The intention of this Keynote Journal is for students to document their daily learning blending paper and hands on learning with taking pictures, recording video, and recording themselves to create a deeper connection to the content.
Each week the teacher can change the phonics pattern, writing prompt, leveled reader, and skill while the student just adds a new page to the journal.
The master slides will make it easy for students to continue to add to their journal. Each slide has both a hands on activity paired with multimodal tools unique to iPad.
This journal has been a game-changer for building student independence during literacy centers. It gives teachers time to pull groups and provides the accountability piece for students while working independently. Download the template below and customize for your students!
A special shout out to Kelsey Ord for helping create the vision of this lovely journal! 👏🏼
