Here's an engaging way to integrate Apple technology with art to animate students' self-portraits! In my art classroom, I enjoy combining traditional art materials with technology. For this second-grade project, students created beautiful drawings, focusing on proportion, mixing skin tones, and capturing their personalities. We added a fun twist by using a green screen effect with a picture frame (or an iPad) and recorded ourselves moving the frame over our faces.
We imported our videos and images into Keynote for alignment, then exported them to iMovie. By applying the green/blue screen effect and adding lively background music, we transformed them into movies.
The final step involved using the Eyejack Creator App to upload the movie and link it to an image of the original artwork. This app generates a QR code that, when scanned with the Eyejack Viewing App, plays the movie whenever the original artwork is scanned. It's pure magic for my young art students!
