As teachers start planning for back to school, we’re all dreading the threat of AI and what it means for academic integrity: the undercurrent of mistrust, looming emails and difficult conversations, and discipline challenges. Teachers didn't sign up to be forensic investigators, so I designed a tool to help everyone avoid these headaches in the first place.

How it works:

Go to my website, fill out the short form, and upload one of your existing assignments. In less than 30 seconds you’ll get a customized report pinpointing the strengths and weaknesses of your assignment and suggestions for how to make your assignment cheat-resistant.

This is a free resource I created, based on the strategies and insights from my best-selling book about authentic learning, Storytelling With Purpose: Digital Projects to Ignite Student Curiosity and my course and workshop, Uncheatable Assessments.  It’s also a great way to help with Portrait of a Graduate implementation.

Note that this is NOT cheat detection software (which doesn’t work and is biased), but rather provides guidance to help educators prevent cheating by design, before it happens, not by policing and punishing students after the fact.

I'd love to hear what you think. Share it with friends and colleagues–it’s free!
