Wolfboy Blissful Blunders - Create Characters with Play dough

For this week’s activity have students watch Episode 2 "Wolfboy Makes a Blunder"

Reflect: A blunder is when something doesn’t turn out the way you hoped for. In this episode Wolfboy makes a peculiar friend out of clay. His creation wasn’t quite what he had hoped for, but that’s ok! How was his clay friend unique or different than the others? What did the other Sprytes think about his creation? How did his blunder turn out in end?

Create: Students will create their own character from play dough and create a movie in Clips!

I have created a book with all of my activities and connections to standards that you can download below.

In case you missed it, here is some other great content from Apple to help you use Wolfboy in the classroom: https://education.apple.com/#/communication/part/T046680A

I would love to hear about how you use these activities with your own students. Please reply and share below!

Love this activity, Katie! What a fun and creative follow-up to this episode of Wolfboy. I really like how the activity encourages students to engage in physical making with play dough and then share their creation using Clips, all while celebrating that "blunders" are part of the creative process! I haven't had a chance to try the activity with students yet, but I'm looking forward to sharing this with the elementary education majors I work with in the coming weeks.
