...engaging their imagination, cultivating their creative confidence, and fostering a compassionate heart, to inspire students tp not only excel academically but also grow as individuals who can make a positive impact on their communities. 

Providing ongoing opportunities in science for my students to build science processing skills, question the world around them, and design/conduct/evaluate investigations.

I want my students to see themselves in a position to understand the world around them through systematic investigations and evaluations of data.

....creating opportunities to build leadership skills like collaboration, active listening, empathy, creativity, and critical thinking in authentic, problem-based learning throughout my courses. When students can practice and cultivate those skills within the safe space of our course, they're more likely to lean into them in other contexts beyond school-based learning.

....providing leadership opportunities as often as possible. When student have opportunities to lead projects and community service events, they learn vital leadership skills as well as the power of doing good and helping others.

… giving them a safe space to voice their opinions, concerns, ideas, and experiences. Providing them the vocabulary and tools to take those expressions to positions of decision making and advocacy.

... giving them the opportunity to work in groups to build those ever so important communication skills. This allows for them to be able to share their ideas they have on the project they are working on while building active listening skills when others share/discuss. Out of this the learners have the ability to build mutual respects and empathy for one another which are powerful leadership skills.
