The Amazing Race - Freeform Escape Room

After all the hard work preparing for our state assessment, I love to treat students to a fun review day before the big test. In the past, we’d do an Amazing Race-style challenge around the school—but this year, inspired by Jennifer Orton’s “Escape from Quadratic Island,” we took it digital!

The kids were OBSESSED with traveling around the world through Freeform! The flexibility of Numbers made it easy to set up creative password challenges for each task. I used Canva for visuals and ChatGPT to help refine the riddles. If you’re looking for a way to get your students excited, engaged, and begging for more review—try a Freeform escape room. You won’t regret it!

Oh this is fantastic, MrsBeardain! What a great way to use the infinite canvas of Freeform and its features! I also really like the use of Canva and ChatGPT — working smarter, not harder! 👏

I’m not surprised at all to hear that your students loved this activity! 🙌
