From City Hustle to Island Peace: A Teacher’s Journey

I was used to the hectic city life when I was still unemployed, thriving on the constant hustle and bustle. After a long wait, I finally received the news of my first posting as a teacher on a remote island.

The first month was tough: the quiet felt strange, life seemed boring, and the poor internet connectivity made staying in touch difficult. But as months passed, I began to appreciate the calm scenery. Away from city noise and drama, I found peace, invested in self-care, and discovered a love for the island’s majestic sea life.

I took up diving, which not only allowed me to explore the underwater world but also helped me manage the stress of teaching and juggling my Master’s studies. Living on the island turned out to be a journey of self-discovery, tranquility, and embracing new experiences.
