Imagine walking into a classroom today: instead of heavy textbooks and chalkboard dust, you might see learners practicing reading fluency using the iPad, solving interactive math challenges on digital tools like IXL, or exploring a 3D science model through TCI. To help families feel connected to this modern learning space, this digital roadmap serves an open door into the classroom experience. The goal goes far beyond simply listing software; it's about transparency, reassurance, and partnership.
Educators want families to see that technology in the classroom is never just passive screen time—it is a collection of thoughtfully chosen tools and #IntentionalTech that sparks curiosity, tailor learning to each student's pace, and make daily progress visible. When families know the what, the how, and the why behind these digital experiences, the barrier between home and school dissolves, transforming parents into confident, active partners in their child's educational journey.
This post is part of a broader initiative designed to help school districts deliver rich, comprehensive learning experiences for all stakeholders. Our goal is to build understanding, increase transparency, and strengthen community partnerships by showing how technology enhances—rather than replaces—great teaching and learning.
This project was developed by six Apple Distinguished Educators—Ashley Bobak, Jeremie Copeland, Anny Staten, Amy Stevens, Kathryn Haneline, and Gabi Whitehead—during an ADE Regional Meetup in Detroit, Michigan, in July 2026.
