Great question, Cody! Inquiring minds want to know. ;) I'll be following this to learn from the responses.

Thanks for posting this question, Cody! I am also wondering what those with ADE experience suggest when it comes to being innovative—fingers crossed for some helpful responses!

Hi ----

First, remember that 2 minutes flies by quickly. Trying to cram too much in to fit a time limit is NOT good - LOL. That in mind consider these things...

1) What is the one overall theme that makes learning special in your classroom or school? Why do kids WANT to be in class?

2) What highlights that your kids are engaged and achieving? How is your classroom enhanced? How is your curriculum enriched?

3) Where and how do you share? Social media? Events (local, state, national)? Within your school or district? Other?

Gathering images to include that emphasize what you are talking about will really help. (Make sure you have permission to share images that contain students!)

Tell a story about those 3 things. Do not share that you have XXX iPads or Macs - teachers have done WONDERFUL things in their classroom with just one device :)

If you are a district leader, tell specifically about how you enable the things above in your classrooms.

Finally, remember > a 2 minute video can take hours to produce! Don't wait until the last minute.

Good luck! :)

Hey Henry,

Thank you for the guiding questions and advice. Very helpful! Thorough without cramming definitely takes time to plan.
