Freeform App

We use Apple School Manager, managed Apple IDs and Jamf at our school. I would like to push Freeform out to all of our iPads, however, I am unable to find Freeform in Apple School Manager. Am I missing something? Has anyone successfully done this?

Freeform is a system app that should install when the iPads update to iOS 16.2 or iPadOS 16.2 or above.

Thanks for your post!

As another user is mentioned, the Freeform app is native to iPad OS + iOS 16.2+. Your devices may just need to be updated to the latest operating system for the app to show up on the device.

Have yo managed to resolve this?

Hi,

Sorry for the digging, but I face the same issue. I expect to see Freeform automatically installed on my students iPads (iOS 18.1), but it's nowhere to be found.

Maybe the MDM is blocking it, but then I need to know which functionnality option may be tied to this App. Freeform is not explicitely blocked and notes, as an example system app, is well accessible.

Any clue?
