Solving Real World Problems through Tech

I've been using modern computing tools and teaching techniques to develop cutting-edge, sandboxed learning environments where students learn about and tackle society's grand challenges one project at a time, one local community at a time. I'm currently exploring approaches to promoting experiential learning of digital skills in schools using air pollution as a driving force for good. Investigating air pollution in their local area has three key components: (i) a sensing infrastructure to collect data; (ii) abstractions to query data; and (iii) educational material for learners to create their own data views and applications and communicate their findings. The aim is to expose students and schools to modern data science, AI and data visualisation techniques. We anticipate that our project will enhance learners' CV, UCAS applications, tech portfolios and career prospects.

If interested. Let's talk.
