Screen time settings

We have been getting many questions from parents about screen time settings being disabled on school managed iPads. It was my understanding that this is something that can not be enabled if the device is in a MDM. Anyone have any info to the contrary? Filewave is out MDM.

Hello QVKaren, thanks for the question.

It is possible for a device to be simultaneously enrolled in an MDM solution and to have Screen Time restrictions enforced by a parent. In principal, the most restrictive setting generally "wins".

However, it's also possible for most MDM solutions to restrict Screen Time restrictions on the device. Contact your MDM vendor for more information.
