For school leaders it’s about the measure and impact of digital on attainment - has attainment improved? What are exam results telling us.

But I also think it’s important to listen and engage with families and young people, listening to their view points at council meetings. Think this is so important when encouraging their own child and supporting their learning away from the classroom.

It depends on what success measure the school leader values, do they value quantitative or qualitative measures? It is about attainment/exam results, positive destinations, attendance, happy learners, engaged learners, engaged staff. Also to question how to measure the use of digital throughout the school and then the level of that use. This question seems to provoke more questions for me.

Increase in the confidence of both students and the staff in using digital approaches to teaching and learning. Surveys and focus groups can be used to measure this.

I feel that if children are engaged and contribute. Sometimes paper is a barrier to learning whereas if a child can technology to describe their learning then it is a successful measurement.

Student wellbeing ie we use iPad to measure wellbeing (glow surveys) and then input all info for staff use on numbers. This means we know who is ready to learn and who is not.

exam results as schools are judged by these figures by the media as well as parents and the pressure to raise these year on year doesn’t go away
