South Australia- let's build a community network!

Calling All South Australia-based community members!

Are you keen to connect and share ideas with others in Apple Distinguished Schools and programs? Let’s come together and connect! Whether you're a leader, teacher, support staff or something else, this is a chance to grow a supportive network where we can share ideas and collaborate on projects and challenges at every stage of the Apple technology journey- from first steps to the long haul.

How do we get started?

  1. Introduce yourself: Comment below, tell us about yourself, your school and your role
  2. Share ideas: Tell us what works for you- how do you like to connect with others, and what would you like to see happen in an SA-based community network event?
  3. Spread the Word: Invite your colleagues to join the conversation.

Let’s build a stronger, more connected community in South Australia!

My name is Angela- I'm Head of Digital Innovation and Integration at St Peter's College in Adelaide. My role involves working with teachers to support them in integrating technology for learning into their classrooms, as well as supporting wider innovations around technology across the School.

I love connecting face to face, but also know the value of virtual connection in all formats- community forum posts, online meetings and more informal digital sharing through social media like X and LinkedIn. I'd love the chance to connect with more people from all the Apple programs around SA and to grow my network. I think there's huge potential for us to make a really strong, self-sustaining community who can support each other to tackle some of the challenges facing education at the moment.

I'm always happy for people to reach out, say hi and start a conversation!

I'm Adam Slater, Principal @ St Joseph's Memorial in Norwood and Kensington. I'm an ADE (Class of 2019), PhD candidate, AITSL HALT assessor, CSMF Chair and have volunteered for Vinnies for over 8 years.

In recent years I have been working on creating global learning opportunities for my students in Australia to connect and complete learning projects with students in the USA and Japan.

I am loving that the teachers in my school are empowering their students with Tinkercad and 3D printing to create a future-focused sustainable farming prototypes.

I would like to see our entire SA ADE, ADS, ALC and wider community to all come together for the network event and commence a real world shared state project that addresses a state challenge and draws from each strength area of expertise from our regional technology leaders.
