Behaviors = impact

What resonated with me this week was what I heard from the Apple Austin campus: “We’re designing the best campus and providing the staff the space to do their best work.” My question is, why aren’t we saying the same about our public schools? Why are we not providing our teachers and staff with the best spaces so that we can all do our best work? Behaviors impact outcomes. #ala51 #trentoninnovatesworktakes #gpisd

I really like the question that you are posting. When you look at classrooms, not much has changed in forever; I cringe when I still see classrooms set up in rows. We should have those spaces that make learning enjoyable and effective. I have been using flexible/opening seating in my classroom for the last 10 years, but it scares some teachers giving students that many choices.

Public schools should also have tools needed that they would encounter in the "real world", but tools we are given are generally older, or cheaper models.
