Excited about Hearing Health through AirPods Pro 2

With so much coming out from the “It’s Glowtime” event on September 9th, one thing that has caught my attention is the new software features for the AirPods Pro 2.

As someone with some hearing loss, I could benefit from a hearing aid in certain situations. However, the cost of hearing aids is hard to justify for occasional use. In a previous post, I experimented with using AirPods as a temporary hearing aid, but it looks like Apple is about to outdo themselves with these new hearing health tools.

I am excited to try them out when they become available. Also, I have never tried it, but has anyone used the AirPods Pro 2 as earplugs at concerts? I’ve been struggling to find something that doesn’t sacrifice sound quality, and I never thought of using them as earplugs.

Agree Brian, that is very cool that AirPods Pro 2 can be an aid to help with hearing loss! Another wonderful accessibility feature!

I can’t help you on if they can be used at concerts, I’m sorry. But I agree about being excited that they can help with being used as a hearing aid! I just had a teacher I work with talk to me about how $250 is more affordable for her than over $500 per hearing aid!

I went to a really loud concert and with the adaptive transparency mode on that was a very cool experience and it did not necessarily damage my ears
