Getting the most out of apple classroom

I am a computer curriculum specialist for my district, and we have been 1:1 ipads in our elementary schools for about 4 years now. As a classroom management tool, we recommend using apple classroom, which the teachers love. I would like to ask if there is another level of apple classroom we could be utilizing, above and beyond just watching their screens. Would love to hear some feedback on this. Thanks

I know in our district we not only view and control devices but use it to give instant feedback. Using an app such he Freeform or Pages you can ask a question to the class and have them write or draw their answers. using the view function to give feedback instantly. We also use airdrop for student to turn in a variety of assignments made in other apps on our iPads through Apple Classroom to quickly grade and give feedback where possible.

There was an excellent post created by a community member back in 2023. It provided a Keynote deck that can be used to assess students’ responses to multiple-choice questions, true/false questions, and general whiteboard questions. The best part is that the student responses are color-coded, which allows you to quickly visualize the assessment of students using Apple Classroom. I also discovered a trick from Jodie Deinhammer when designing templates for students to incorporate various colors throughout the template. This allows teachers to quickly assess the progress of students in Apple Classroom.

Also forgot to mention that Felecity Treptow created a post using agendas in Apple Classroom to help manage time more efficiently.

Here is a link to a recording of the Apple Education Community Share-Outs in which she shares her ideas. https://education.apple.com/story/250013954
